The CISC Christmas Gift Drive

Brown Property Group would like your help to support the Community Information and Support Cranbourne (CISC) organisation (formerly CISS) with its annual Christmas gift drive. CISC has been supporting Cranbourne and the expanding Casey South Area for over 40 years. They offer a range of free information and support services to people in crisis by providing direct aid and assistance to children, families and the wider community. A support service can include a ‘listening ear’, practical assistance, information, or referrals to appropriate specialist support services. Demand for these crisis support services grows each year as increasing numbers of people present with complex needs and numerous issues. CISC are also involved in providing emergency relief to those people experiencing financial hardship, by providing food, vouchers for food and petrol , Myki Day Passes, Telstra vouchers, nappies, baby food/formula, and pharmaceutical needs. Below is a snapshot of the diverse and numerous ways CISC supported the community throughout 2020:
- $282,000 on food and petrol vouchers
- Provided 700 food parcels
- $15,520 on essential medication assistance
- Provided 1,565 PBS scripts
- Assisted 200 families and provided $40,425 to keep children in education
- Received 40,437 requests for support or information
- Made 2,482 referrals
- Attracted 216,723 website visits
- Counselled 346 individuals, couples and families & 270 children
- Provided aid to 255 clients with complex financial and para-legal issues, 130 of them were
- Removed $517,285 worth of debt
